The kids have been begging me to take them to the lake all summer, but the weather has been sub-par for swimming.
Yesterday, I said “screw it” and told them to put on their bathing suits, low-70’s temps and cloudy skies be damned. Tim is visiting family on the west coast this weekend, and the lake makes for a convenient distraction.
While they splashed around, seemingly immune to the chilly water, I took out my iPad and pencil and sketched the scene.
Allllll the lettering practice lately. All of it. My hands hurt. I’ve developed a tic where I two-finger tap on whatever surface I’m working on to undo my last stroke. I tried it in Photoshop and on the surface of the dining room table and was sorely disappointed it didn’t work both times. Send help.
Tim effectively gave me his iPad mini and the Apple Pencil because I might have been hogging them for drawing purposes. *ahem* After spending more time with Procreate, I’ve decided to upgrade to an iPad Pro in the future. More screen real estate and larger file sizes would be ideal for printing things.
